still from "Mind Mischief"
tame impala

Tame Impala have just released the video for "Mind Mischief," the third single from the band's lauded Lonerism. Set at a boarding school in the '60s, the video (directed by talented David Wilson) takes the song title to heart with a schoolboy's fantasy over his teacher, going impressively, psychedelically bonkers in the video's animated (and NSFW) second half. You can watch it below.

Tame Impala's upcoming tour hits NYC on February 17 for a sold-out show at Terminal 5.

No, but the lead singer sounds like John Lennon. Their new album is really great and the album prior, InnerSpeaker, is amazing. If you're into Zep, Beatles, Floyd or any cool 60's / 70's psych rock bands, you will dig these cats.

I can't help but be mesmerized by this entire video. It's just pure sex and drugs in its base form, and its simplicity is what makes it so profound. The art and animation is wonderful. Absolutely hypnotizing.
