Ellen Allien

In 2011, German electronic artist Ellen Allien worked with coreographers/dancers Alexandre Roccoli and Sevérine Rième on a performance titled "Drama per Musica" which took place at Paris' Pompidou Centre. She has now reworked the music from that performance into a new album, LISm, which will be out March 12 via BPitch Control. You can stream a sampler from the album below.

Meanwhile, Allien has some DJ gigs coming up, including a warehouse party in NYC on January 25. Location details are being withheld currently, but tickets are on sale now. DJ dates are listed below, along with the album sampler.

DJ gigs is so indicative of popular music. People more interested in an artists name than an artists music.
