Morrissey at The Capitol Theatre last week (more by Dominick Mastrangelo)
tickets

On Thursday, Morrissey canceled a few dates on his current tour (including Chicago which would've happened tonight, 1/26) due to "band illness" but now we know it was Moz himself. Billboard reports the singer, who just played four shows in the NYC-area, is currently at William Beaumont hospital in Michigan due to a suspected bladder infection. Ouch!

No dates past tonight's Chicago show have been postponed yet and no word on whether he is still ill. (Couldn't resist.) Drink lots of cranberry juice and feel better, Steven!

I thought vegetarians are supposed to be more healthy than the rest of us.

Wow. Way to keep the bar high, folks. I was lucky enough to see The Smiths just before they broke up. I remember radio back then playing bands like The Cure, Echo, Jesus & MC, etc. I do not, however, recall such young little snarks who seem to have nothing better to do than post behind the mask of a computer smartass comments that rival that of kids with a fifth grade education. Bravo. I'm sure your parents would be thrilled.

GET WELL SOON, MOZ!

Stop holding it in buddy!

To Jeff Topinka,

Oh please wise one, school us in all the things that did not exist before the modern day internet. Do you recall people texting on smart phones for example?

Posted by Anonymous | January 26, 2013 3:53 PM

Jeff Topinka, it was really nothing.

What would a Morrissey tour be without cancelled dates?

Posted by Anonymous | January 26, 2013 5:48 PM

Sorry Moz.

Hopefully he won't be the first of the gang to die. ;)

someone get this man a cheeseburger!

The press release doesn't say that tonight's scheduled show in Chicago is cancelled. Seems silly to cite that first and then not clarify. He's hoping for a quick recovery and rescheduled date--for the second time. Sigh. -- But it's worth the wait every time!

typical vegan thinking on display, "just drink cranberry juice" as if. and Jeff Topinka, back when they had that music on the radio was before caller ID. So your comment proves that you have selective memory. Why don't you bust through my shield of anonymity and notify my parents now.

Why would you assume the club is allowing fireworks with their consent? Seems a lot more likely some audience dumbass just did it of his own foolish volition. Short of patting everyone down all the time, what are clubs supposed to do to stop this?

Jesus Spiritualized sounds like ass with Kid on drums. You'd think he'd bother to learn the fucking songs

I think the whole world should listen to this type of music, not to that shitty crap that today's artists release (not counting Arctic Monkeys etc., I mean Nicki Minaj, JB, 1D and stuff like that)
Love this, it's like heaven to my ears, no doubt.´╗┐
