Palma Violets at Glasslands, 1/23/2013 (more by Dominick Mastrangelo)
Palma Violets

Palma Violets have been here from the UK for the past week or so, playing a string of wild, sweaty shows. If you haven't caught them yet, you now have two more chances to see them. In addition to the previously-announced Glasslands show tonight (1/28) with Devin and Mainland (tickets), BrooklynVegan is presenting an early show tonight at Pianos. The band go on at 7 PM and $5 tickets are on sale now. That ticket will also allow you to stay for the late show that features Wolves, Of the Opera, Night Vision and Nylon Riots.

Check out Palma Violets' new video for "Step Up for the Cool Cats" below.

Palma Violets, join the club dudes.

Join the club of UK hype bands that nobody cares about after a year:

Rumble Stripes
etc etc etc

Compare this years Coachella Lineup and the past few years.....
Coachella is slowly losing it.
Blur as a head-headliner what a joke!

Oh wait, no one cares about the LIBERTINES?! Really? They just aren't a band anymore, but people sure as hell gave a shit when they were around. And you could bet your sweet ass that people would be lining up if Pete and Carl got the gang back together. Please.

Not denying that the British media endlessly hype bands as the second coming...But these guys were definitely fun the other night at the loft party. If you're looking for a good sweaty rock and roll party, I'd check them out in a small club while you can...

...and just because you don't like them doesn't mean dick really. 3 of the 4 bands you listed could easily book a show in Europe and get 30,000 people or more to show up...Americans don't care about them, but there are other people in this world.
