pretty impressive lineup. They've kind of stole a little bit of Coachella's thunder. Curious to see what they announce (whenever the hell that might be).

Posted by Anonymous | January 23, 2013 3:13 PM

if Coachella doesn't line up Postal Service and Blur they might as well quit

Posted by Anonymous | January 23, 2013 3:14 PM

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Daaaamn, I don't think anything could touch this lineup!

Posted by Anonymous | January 23, 2013 3:14 PM

there's like a gazillion other euro fests with hipster/pop bands. why post this particular one....

Posted by bmetal | January 23, 2013 3:15 PM

3:15 - If this lineup doesn't excite you, why the f--k are you here?? Life tip: get a soul.

Posted by Anonymous | January 23, 2013 3:18 PM

srsly... this is the best lineup since 2004's coachella (pixies, the cure, radiohead, f'lips, kraftwerk, air)

Posted by Anonymous | January 23, 2013 3:19 PM

Game over

Posted by D | January 23, 2013 3:21 PM

Hey Coachella, you could always ask the Black Keys to headline...again. HAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Posted by Anonymous | January 23, 2013 3:22 PM

Barcelona > Cali desert > Randall's Island

Posted by Anonymous | January 23, 2013 3:25 PM

THE BEST!

Posted by Anonymous | January 23, 2013 3:28 PM

3:15 -
a) This is probably the most unfuckwithable lineup anyone has ever seen.
b) Barcelona is the most unfuckwithable city anyone has ever been to.

Posted by Anonymous | January 23, 2013 3:29 PM

Barcelona - GREAT city!!

Primavera 2013 - BEST lineup!!

This is going to be unreal!!!!!!!

Posted by Anonymous | January 23, 2013 3:31 PM

start saving in Euros and checking flights
this is f--ing unreal!

Posted by Anonymous | January 23, 2013 3:33 PM

That is pretty damned impressive. I hope its not in some kind of headliner-down order though, since Bob Fucking Mould is the 31st name while some joker like Mac DeMarco is 9th.

Posted by Anonymous | January 23, 2013 3:33 PM

3:33 - Look at the poster, you twit!

Posted by Anonymous | January 23, 2013 3:40 PM

And you idiots thought Governors Ball had a good lineup.

Posted by Anonymous | January 23, 2013 4:21 PM

why can't this be in nyc?

Posted by Anonymous | January 23, 2013 4:28 PM

a. festivals are a bitch and you can only see a fraction of that shit
b. these bands play ny all. the. fucking. time.

Posted by Anonymous | January 23, 2013 4:34 PM

"Hey Coachella, you could always ask the Black Keys to headline...again. HAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!"

That'd be the 3rd year in a row they played right?

Posted by Anonymous | January 23, 2013 4:38 PM

4:34 - We are all jealous that we can't go. Stop being such a sopping rag!

Posted by Anonymous | January 23, 2013 4:40 PM

"these bands play ny all. the. fucking. time."

Yes, Blur last played NYC something like 10 years ago. Post Service, 8, Phoenix, 6.

Posted by Anonymous | January 23, 2013 4:41 PM

Phoenix played 2 years ago..

Posted by Anonymous | January 23, 2013 4:44 PM

That's how you book a festival, and it's in Barcelona...yeah fuck governor's ball.

Posted by Anonymous | January 23, 2013 4:44 PM

dont MBV have a new album coming out? my ears are still ringing from their last roseland show.

Posted by Anonymous | January 23, 2013 4:51 PM

'cept for Blur of course. You'll get sick of postal service and phoenix this year over here.

Posted by Anonymous | January 23, 2013 4:53 PM

A little birdie whispered into my ear that Phoenix is playing Irving Plaza in April.

Posted by Anonymous | January 23, 2013 4:56 PM

no MGMT no thanks

Posted by Anonymous | January 23, 2013 4:58 PM

Phoenix and postal service really are lame bands you must admit.

Posted by Anonymous | January 23, 2013 7:08 PM

new mbv album will suck

Posted by Anonymous | January 23, 2013 7:55 PM

The Rival Mob have been added.

Posted by Anonymous | January 23, 2013 10:51 PM

PLEASE let tame impala never play music again.

Posted by Anonymous | January 24, 2013 12:31 AM

Are The Postal Service that big? Did I miss something? Don't really see them as a big fest headliner.

Posted by Anonymous | January 24, 2013 5:26 AM

Yeah I really don't see them headlining either. Like don't get me wrong they are definitely a second tier spot, but a headliner?? They only have like 15 songs lol.

Posted by Anonymous | January 24, 2013 8:07 AM

I went 2 years ago (mainly to see Pulp as it was one of their first gigs announced) and it was the hands down the best festival I'd ever been to. The setting, the people and the music were all beautiful. And Barcelona rules in general. Brits are totally obnoxious at festivals so definitely avoid anything in England and try Primavera instead.

Posted by Anonymous | January 24, 2013 8:50 AM

I think the main draw for Postal Service is the fact that they never toured AFTER they got big so a lot of their new fan base never got a chance to see them live. I was fortunate enough to see them play a tiny ass club in SF (with Jenny Lewis!) so I'm by no means creaming my pants at the thought of seeing them play a big festival headlining spot.

Posted by Anonymous | January 24, 2013 8:54 AM

It just makes me curious about where they're gonna play when they come to NYC. I'd like to think one show at bowery, one at music hall, then one at radio city. But I think they might just play radio city at this point.

the only festival that matters now is Austin Psych Fest - all others are weak in comparision; regardless of music genres / festival focus

Posted by Anonymous | January 24, 2013 9:38 AM

^Nice try, but no. You must be one of those retarded Black Angels superfans.

I went there last year and it was incredible. I'm glad I got the tickets for Primavera Sound 2013 in June when I dind't know any band from the lineup. It doesn't matter because with Primavera Sound you can never go wrong. It's always amazing: great bands playing, great people, great weather and beautiful city.

Stone Roses are a great band -love how hipsters think they know music but dont know sh*t about anything

I would love to go and see that show. Bacelona it will be a great time and weather. They need this rght now with the economy like it is.

The first balcony wasn't crowded and the sound wasn't bad, but the energy was pretty flat tonight.

I'd actually considering flying all the way down there to go to this.
