A marquee during Psychic Ills' recent Chinese tour
Psychic Ills

Psychic Ills had a quite exciting tail end of 2012, spending part of it touring China(!), preparing for an apocalypse that didn't happen and playing New Years Eve at Saint Vitus. Now the Brooklyn band is on a mission, as evidenced by the title of their forthcoming effort One Track Mind, due via Sacred Bones on February 19. The band will celebrate the release on February 7 at Bowery Ballroom alongside Nude Beach and one more band TBA. Tickets go on sale at noon on Friday (1/11).

The show is one of a few scheduled for the band, and the lone date on the Northeast thus far. UPDATE: Psychic Ills also play 285 Kent on March 16.

The beach trend is in the revival stage now. It's retro.
