SBTRKT @ T5, October 2012 (more by Matt McGinley)

While we wait for SBTRKT to release the follow-up to 2011's much-acclaimed debut, he's released a live album/video in the interim. Simply titled Live, it was recorded/shot over two nights at London's Sheppard's Bush Empire back in October and is out today (1/7) via iTunes. Primarily a digital release, Young Turks is pressing 500 LP/DVD combos which will be out February 25 and you can pre-order here.

pressing play on itunes doesn't constitute a live album.

shitty non vowels bands are to modern disco what acronym bands were to shitty hardcore in the 80s

Lustmord is the most exciting performer I have ever seen.
He uses his PINKY to press the spacebar!
The crowd went nuts!!!

Posted by Anonymous | January 7, 2013 1:18 PM

^He had to restart a song at the show I went to because his caps lock key got stuck! I told him there was no need for him to yell at us in the crowd and he later apologized for the techbological difficulties...you should have seen that roadie trying to use wd-40 to unstick that key!

Ergonomic office chairs are not easy for roadies to unload and wheel on stage. Roadies are underpaid for these musicians!

I recall back in 2007 at a Lustmord show when he carried his laptop out on stage in a rather old bag and the zipper got stuck.
The crowd was nervous, and all breathed a huge sigh of relief when that stubborn zipper finally gave in.

^Wd-40 to the rescue again!

all of the previous comments are retarded: you realize there is a huge live instrumentation aspect of SBTRKT's performance right? Great percussion, live vocals, etc? I hate press-play DJs as much as the next guy but christ are these posts off-point...

They really suck live though. I saw them this summer, and they were not too good live.

Wow what a awesome cover for a record.
