Are things like SxSw and/or CMJ really necessary anymore? I mean, do bands actually go there thinking they are going to be "discovered"? We just end up with 100 "buzz" bands that no one cares about in 2 months.

Posted by Anonymous | January 10, 2013 4:40 PM

TOY? Didn't we get enough of that band when they were with Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong?

Posted by Anonymous | January 10, 2013 4:56 PM

sxsw is great because it is essentially free with free food and free drink and there are 2000 bands to see. i don't even bother with big names or badges or wristbands.

Posted by Anonymous | January 11, 2013 12:59 AM

Huh? Free hummus at SXSW?

Posted by Anonymous | January 11, 2013 2:40 AM

CMJ is 1000x more irrelevant than SXSW.
But SXSW was officially killed when the Doritos vending machine dropped from the sky and landed on it's heart.

I installed it properly, I click "save for web" but a very subtle message appears at the bottom that says "The image is too large for Save for Web". What is wrong here? I'm editing files in .CR2 format (Cannon's RAW format) which are pretty big but isn't that the point of this plug in; To take the large file and compress it into a smaller size for use on the web?

Posted by camping gear | June 30, 2013 11:16 AM

this plug in doesn't work. I've installed it in my plug-ins directory under windows 7 using gimp 2.8 and nothing shows up on the file menu anywhere. Not for an individual image file menu or the main one.
