As promised, there is a Postal Service reunion in the works and the duo have just redesigned their website to feature nothing at the moment except that picture above.

Hopefully this reunion is more of a positive experience than the embarrassment that was the At the Drive In reunion.

Nobody cares for Ben Gibbard except dumpy, entry-level alts who cut themselves.

I wonder if Jenny Lewis will be a part of this. She doesn't seem to be doing much these days. I also wonder if this is a typical cash grab (play the major festivals and a few one offs in major cities) or if they are planning to release new material.

Who knows if they will even play NYC. We still haven't seen any New York dates from At the Drive-In or Grandaddy.

Does anyone really think the postal service will "deliver" a new album. They don't really push the "Envelope" at all. We need to "stamp" out these type of reunion bands. How do they "Meter" their popularity? The really don't think outside the "box"! I think the new music will really suck because Ben "letter" go, Zooey that is. He just couldn't "carrier" around anymore!

12:22 at least Desaparecidos have been releasing new material, and will likely have a new album soon.

Ben and Zooey broke up because he kept cheating with groupies, including Misha Barton's busted ass.

The iPods Service doesn't need a date.
or your filthy lucre for that matter.

They'll end up in NYC. I wonder if Governor's Ball has the budget for them.
Posted by Anonymous | January 21, 2013 2:25 PM
I would put money on a Summerstage or Williamsburg Park gig (probably both actually with demand).
Posted by Anonymous | January 21, 2013 2:50 PM
2:25 Postal Service is not the big ticket item you think. I do too think they will play Summer Stage or Williamsburg Waterfront though
Posted by Anonymous | January 21, 2013 3:06 PM
They're doing Coachella, so yes, very much a cash grab.

I want ATDI to play NY so bad....no matter how terrible Cedric sounds live
Posted by Anonymous | January 21, 2013 4:42 PM
I want to spend money on a band that sounds terrible!

" ^ ha doesn't get it... its ok junior"
"You don't get it" translation:
"I'm too insecure and sensitive about someone else saying that my schtick sucks, when deep down, even I know it does, despite my forever hipster tee-hee tendencies."
Posted by Anonymous | January 21, 2013 4:59 PM
God for fucking bid they play summer stage. I'd rather terminal 5 than that place.
Posted by Anonymous | January 21, 2013 5:47 PM
4:59 ha ha doesn't still can't figure it out. Wowza dumb and no sense of humor...
Posted by Anonymous | January 21, 2013 6:57 PM
I got 12:40 it doesn't take much to figure it out. Sadly 4:59 must not have that functionality in his brain. This no child left behind thing really didn't work out well I see!

You should do one of these for Monday too, but instead of "What's going on Sunday?" it could be called "What's going on Monday?".
