Alice Cooper at Prudential Center, July 2012 (more by Chris La Putt)

Some call him one of the originators of corpsepaint, others call him that guy from Wayne's World, but those who know remember Alice Cooper from his awesome early days in the 1970s. The pro-am golfer spent last summer out with Iron Maiden, and now you can catch the rock favorite blessing a stage all his own: Beacon Theater on July 18. The show is one of only five known dates so far for the painted one, and tickets go on presale on Wednesday (2/27) at 10AM (code: COOPER) and then hit regular sale on Friday (3/1).
Check out Alice's tour schedule and some classic Cooper clips below...

@8:43
Nuge was never as big as Alice. Alice sold way more records, had a truly shocking stage show (for 1970), influenced David Bowie, Elton John and Johnny Rotten, and fronted a killer lineup of musicians from Lou Reed's backing band.

Nuge inspired Joe The Plummer

Nuge had a big influence on lesbian poetry.

9:22 is a child, and he wasn't there. I was there. Child, go back to playing your first person shooter games with your bros.

I like AC. I like the Nuge as well. I like schmaltzy 70s arena rock. Gives me kind of a stiffy, you know?

the 1st 2 from alice cooper, pretties for you & easy action, are great records. too bad alice cooper went to the shitter once they hooked up with bob ezrin and sold millions of records. there is no need to hear anything once he went "solo". barf.

I love the Coop, but he never had "Lou Reed's backing band". I think someone needs to learn a little music history.
If you're making reference to Dick Wagner, then I suppose by your logic he had Kiss as his band as well.
Nope, moosik skool 4 u

Steve Hunter + Dick Wagner both played with Reed during his Rock 'n' Roll Animal period and then later backed Alice for his 2nd band.
Dumbass.
