"9 songs into the album now and its 99.8% better than the rest of the stuff released so far this year."

WHAT? Oh you are just a crazy disgusting idiot with no taste or a member of the band.

The first song does exactly what an opening tune should...made me excited about new stuff I havent heard yet...I wish Beach Fossils was stopping by Asheville!

What's your problem 4:35. I'm 4:27, have no connection to the band, and will be one of the 500 people at the sold out Bowery show.

this type of boring noodly guitar shit is anemic and so fucking played out. can't wait for the day (~2 years when this doesnt get best new music?) when these guys settle for boring day jobs.

Can't believe no one has mentioned the similarity to a Lou Reed LP cover.

Posted by Anonymous | February 12, 2013 5:57 PM

"What's your problem 4:35. I'm 4:27, have no connection to the band, and will be one of the 500 people at the sold out Bowery show."

Well the first problem I have is the fact that you are a dunce. Bowery Holds a little over 600 people. My second problem with you is your pedestrian taste in music. That statement about this record being better than 98% of everything else out so far is pretty stupid and outlandish as well as wrong.

You enjoy that show though. Betcha $1000 the show is not sold out come showtime.

Posted by Anonymous | February 12, 2013 9:42 PM

9:42, relax man.

Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2013 12:44 AM

Bowery Ballroom holds exactly 550, so you're an idiot 9:42. Besides being completely psychotic about someone else's musical taste.

Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2013 1:25 AM

Dorner will be there, a little ashy to hear Wide Awake.

Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2013 1:54 AM

im sorry but this dude is such a tool...i tried to like this band after being drawn to a few tracks but cant get past the fact this dude is such a goddamn doofus

Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2013 11:16 AM

Took a few turns but songs really are pretty strong.

Posted by anonymous | February 13, 2013 11:22 AM

Hate to correct the all knowing BV posters like 1:25am especially when they make such a strong statement. Unfortunately the only idiot here, well not the only one, is you. You came up with your 550 number from Wikipedia which of course we all know is always right. Although you did not take a second to glance to the right where it said the capacity was actually 795. The 550 number comes from an erroneous listing in a Gothamist article. The 795 number is also wrong. 1:25 you little stupid shit, feel free the next time you head to Bowery Ballroom to glance at the sign by the stairs where it lists the capacity. Even that number gets expanded a bit. Usually they cap it at around 610 to be fully sold out.

Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2013 11:43 AM

meh

Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2013 12:17 PM

Hey fuckheads! Let's all argue about the capacity of venues around New York! Did you know that T5 can actually hold 45,000?

Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2013 12:23 PM

fart

Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2013 5:23 PM

fucking retards gotta 5.8

i give them two years before they go broke.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2013 1:36 AM

the beach fossils and starfucker reviews were the first two douche reviews i've seen from pfork in a while. sounded like complete dicks with an axe to grind

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2013 3:08 AM

pitchfork was WAY off saying DIIV is better. This record is actually really good.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2013 9:47 PM

The Pitchfork review was written by Ian Cohen who is an infamous douchebag. Look it up. It has no credibility.

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2013 9:56 PM

lol he also wrote diiv oshin album review brah

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2013 11:12 PM

the album wasn't good tbh, but ian cokes did take it a bit too far. should been like 6.5

beach fossils are kinda off the map now

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2013 11:13 PM

whatever. at one point beach fossils was a really fun band. more than can be said for most

Posted by Anonymous | February 19, 2013 12:35 AM

Possession. . . is nine tenths of the law.

Posted by Anonymous | February 19, 2013 12:38 AM

Dustin seems like a dweeb but he's always seemed really sincere. I can not stand Wild Nothing or any other total 80's rip off. At the very least this kid actually tries. Deserved a 7.3.

Posted by Anonymous | February 19, 2013 9:17 AM

The best type of music around.
