Bosnian Rainbows

Bosnian Rainbows, the group featuring onetime At the Drive-In/Mars Volta member Omar Rodriguez-Lopez and Teri Gender Bender of Le Butcherettes, brought their current tour to NYC on Tuesday (2/19) for a show at Highline Ballroom with openers Marriages. Did you go to this show? If so, what did you think? While we're still waiting for Bosnian Rainbows to drop their new album this spring, you can check out single "Torn Maps," and more pics from Highline, below.

Show was phenomenal. Haven't seen Omar so energetic and genuinely passionate and happy since 2003. Torn Maps and Turtleneck are definitely misleading tracks to release, the live show and other songs were significantly better. Teri is an animal and an incredible Janis Joplin-esque frontwoman and Deantoni held down incredibly tight grooves on the half live kit/half midi kit. The feeling of the music was liberating, refreshing, but still intense and very unique.

Despite being disappointed by the 2 tracks that came out, the show blew my mind, totally unexpected. This definitely marks a new era in Omar's ever-evolving career, now that ATDI, TMV, and ORLG are now all officially dead or at least dormant.

Thanks for the comment, Omar.

^You probably never leave your mother's house, watch porn all day, jerk off and would not have the slightest idea how to even talk to a woman.

This was the most amazing show I have ever seen. At the end of it I was lucky enough to shake Teri's hand, but sadly Omar skipped over me. I guess I just have to go see them again to get his holy handshake!

12:27AM--

jocuri and miniclip's link now seems to be blocked on this site, which explains why they haven't posted in months. Needless to say, this is a travesty.

Where's the pic of her taking a cd from someone and stuffing it down her panties at the end of the set.
