We'd heard the rumors but this morning Daft Punk confirmed they've signed with Columbia Records when they posted the above image on their website this morning. Can an album announcement be far away?

They won't play at Williamsburg park b/c that venue is terrible. But Keyspan Park (I think it's called something else now), MSG or Barclays!

Columbia has good albums this year: Bowie, Depeche Mode and Daft Punk.

doesn't matter if it's a bad record, their live shows are awesome

It doesn't matter if it's a bad album or if they do a bad show. What's truly important is that a record label is putting their logo on some people's recordings.

I doubt theyd do an arena here. three (maybe even four) nights at a big open venue seems more probable.

They are opening for The Postal Service Barclays shows.

I read that in their rider, Daft Punk explicitly requests two robust hummus platters from Mamoun's.
