Desparacidos @ Webster Hall, 2/26/2013
Desaparecidos

Conor Oberst's former flame and current touring project Desaparecidos played their first of two NYC shows at Webster Hall last night (2/26) joined by Joyce Manor and States & Kingdoms (mem Thursday, Rival Schools, Small Brown Bike). The madness continues tonight (2/27) at the same venue and tickets are still available. How was the show? More pics from last night's show, including one of the setlist, are below.

Desaparecidos have been closing their night with a cover of Joyce Manor's "Constant Headache" at their shows with frontman Barry Johnson joining them on stage. You can watch a video of them playing the song at Monday's (2/25) Allston, MA show, below.

Is Conor angsty again?

Posted by Anonymous | February 27, 2013 1:50 PM

Show was super good. Not angsty, just passionate.

seriously amazing show. nice to see people really getting into it. these songs have held up really well.

Have to admit, I'm an old dude who enjoyed their LP when it came out, but didn't really expect to have fun seeing them at Webster or expect the songs hold up all that well after so many years. Happy to say I was wrong - glad I went to this. Nice job Conor and Co.

But dude, your haircut makes you look like emo Edward Scissorhands.

I am starting to think BV forgot that Bob Mould played last night. You'd think somebody as important and influential as Bob Mould would get some freaking coverage here. He even played some songs from Flip your Wig, which seems like a pretty big deal. I guess BV would rather write about Beyonce.

^Dude you have been spamming every thread today with this Bob Mould shit. We get it, you went last night and loved it. Bob has played a million fucking times in the city. It's not that big of a deal and neither is the fact that he played songs off Flip Your Wig.
Is it really going to make you this crazy if there is no coverage of the show. What a loser tool you are

Also, Desparecidos suck. Very doubtful that Lou Reed was there.

I like when Ian Love pops up!

I went to the Desaparecidos show and the Bob Mould show, so I expect my trophy in the mail any day now.

Conor continues to get better the older he gets. Truly one of the best and most passionate shows I've ever been to!

Posted by Anonymous | February 27, 2013 3:45 PM

2:32 is correct. Why bother covering Bob Mould here when you can just cover some shitty band that parodies Husker Du?

Posted by Anonymous | February 27, 2013 4:43 PM

the sound was terrible

Posted by Anonymous | February 27, 2013 5:18 PM

typos typos typos, BV: can you get the band's name right?

The level of idiocy in your comment is astounding.
