Disappears V3

Chicago motorik punks Disappears have a new EP coming out titled Kone on April 16. The self-released three-track 12" clocks in at 30 minutes (Ty Segall or The Fresh & Onlys might call that an album.) The title title track is a slow builder and methodical and reminds me a little of the moodier moments on Wire's 154. You can stream it below.
Disappears are going on the road right around the time of the EP's release, hitting NYC on April 25 at Knitting Factory with Man Forever. Always a killer live band, it will be interesting to see what directions new drummer Noah Leger will take them, now that Steve Shelley is no longer behind the kit. Tickets to the Knit show are on sale now. All tour dates are listed below.
