Jeff Mangum @ Hamilton College - 2/14/13 (via Deborah Caruso)
Jeff Mangum

As mentioned, Neutral Milk Hotel's Jeff Mangum is on a tour now with The Music Tapes and Tall Firs which passed through New York for shows this past week in Clinton (2/14) and Poughkeepsie (2/15). Though the tour was originally supposed to end yesterday (2/16), Jeff had to reschedule some dates due to the snow storm that hit the Northeast last week.

The Portland, ME show which would have happened on February 9 is taking place tonight (2/17), and on Monday (2/18) he'll play Providence, RI at Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel (rescheduled from 2/10), followed by a show on Tuesday (2/19) at The Great Hall in Union Station in Hartford, CT (rescheduled from 2/11). Tickets for the Providence show and the Hartford show are still available.

The Hartford show is the last date on this run, but he recently added other dates happening in March and April. A list of all remaining tour dates and a video of Jeff playing "Two-Headed Boy Pt. 2" at his recent Detroit show below...

Wow that video from Detroit really exposes how this concert is craptastic. No production values or set and a bunch of lacrosse bros singing aloud. This is like a Dasboard Confessional concert circa 2003. Horrible.

Could be the most over rated musician in quite awhile. If it wasn't for the likes of pitchfork etc he would still be playing maxwells

Posted by Anonymous | February 18, 2013 10:42 AM
