Morrissey at BAM, Jan. 2013  (more by Dana (distortion) Yavin)
Moz

Morrissey, who has been battling Barrett's Esophagus which forced him to cancel quite a few shows on his 2013 tour, is on the mend and will restart his tour this week with a performance at San Diego's Balboa Theater on Wednesday (2/27). The day before (Tues, 2/26) he'll perform on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Among those dates are this Friday's show (3/1) at LA's Staples Center with Patti Smith. Morrissey had announced that the concession stands there would be vegetarian -- a first for the venue -- but Staples Center is now saying that is not the case. While the McDonalds franchises there will be closed for Moz's show and they have added to the menu such items as vegan sloppy Joes, vegan sushi and hummus, all regular concession stand items will be available. Morrissey, however, fired back saying:

Reports that the Staples Center will not be 100% vegetarian on March 1st are playfully untrue. Contractually, all McDonalds vendors shall be closed down, and the only thing burning shall be my heart.
The rescheduled tour dates -- which include a few new shows as well -- are listed below.

Morrissey comes off as a spoiled brat. Can you imagine if you only ate steak and wanted the venue you played in to close all restaurants that didn't serve steak? Have no respect for that kind of behavior.
