Mudhoney at Bowery Ballroom, Sept. 2010 (more by Chris Gersbeck)

Seattle rock icons Mudhoney are celebrating their 25th anniversary as a band this year and, as mentioned, have a new album, Vanishing Point, coming out on April 2 via Sub Pop. Mark Arm and the rest of the band had already announced some tour dates (mostly overseas) in support of the new album, and they've just expanded that tour to include some Northeast US dates before crossing the pond.

The new dates include one in Boston and two in NYC, which happen on May 11 at Music Hall of Williamsburg and May 12 at Bowery Ballroom. Tickets to both NYC shows go on AmEx presale on Wednesday (2/13) with the regular on-sale happening Friday (2/15) at noon. Updated dates are listed below...

they play the same two venues every year. How about a little mixing it up boys?

Posted by Anonymous | February 12, 2013 12:12 PM

^ because you need to see them in a different venue? What's the difference?

Posted by Anonymous | February 12, 2013 12:22 PM

srsly, i'd rather see them at bowery than most other venues around, so good for them.

Enough of these old grunge bands still hanging around. 'Shit was overrated now dated.

You hipster idiots! Mudhoney bridged the gap between Iggy Pop proto-punk, Blues, and 60's garage rock. Their fan base is quite diverse and Mark Arm proves he can successful sing the aforementioned genres. Steve Turner's guitar style is instantly recognizable the second he lets a chord ring out.

Overrated? Since when? Mudhoney never had a top 10 single forced down everyone's collective throats nor did Mtv play any of their vids on heavy rotation, unlike the silly grunge bands that were just playing recycled Metal; slower and sadder.

The fact that they have been around this long but continue developing and sounding energized is a testament to their passion.

7:50 must have been pissed that he left the band before they got big.
