Stornoway releasing new album, announce North American tour (dates, stream)

British group Stornoway will release their new album, Tales From Terra Firma, on March 19 via 4AD. The band recently released the video for first single, “Knock Me on the Head” and literary types might notice that the lyrics are loosely based on Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s 1798 poem “The Rime of The Ancient Mariner.” You can watch it below.

Stornoway will be coming to North America for a tour this spring which includes two stops in the NYC area: Maxwell’s on May 3 and Music Hall of Williamsburg on May 6. No word on Maxwell’s tickets yet, but tickets to MHOW are on AmEx presale today (2/27) at noon with the regular on-sale happening Friday (3/1) at noon.
