Pond at BV SXSW 2012 (more by Tim Griffin)

The members of Tame Impala had a great 2012 with both their own album, and their side project, Pond, who released the album, Beard Wives Denim. Pond are set to follow that album with a new one, Hobo Rocket, this spring via Modular. Stream the mega-distorted first single, "Giant Tortoise," and check out its cover art below. You can also download the track in exchange for your email address at Pond's website.

I can't wait for their other side projects: Sebadoh, and Nirvana.

2:16 - if you're under the age of 10, you're forgiven for not understanding 12:17. If not, shame on you.

How does this band take the name Pond when there was clearly A Pond in the late 90's that put out like 5 records on Sub Pop? I'm puzzled. Do some research before you name your band.
