Where's my "Pod" show? I even like "Title TK" more than "Last Splash"

Posted by Anonymous | February 5, 2013 8:01 PM

Let's hope the Chicago show is not gonna end up being at a fest like Pitchfork or Lollapalooza. Fun live band!

Posted by Anonymous | February 5, 2013 9:04 PM

I really hope Kim has been hitting the gym for this tour.

"Webster Hall>Bell House"

You sir get my award for dumbest idiot of the month or just some loser troll baiting.

Either way, just die

Posted by Anonymous | February 5, 2013 10:32 PM

I'm not a breeder so much as a breedee! (Gosh, I'm such a saint.)

Posted by Anonymous | February 5, 2013 10:40 PM

Do you think they will get naked on stage?

Posted by Anonymous | February 5, 2013 11:47 PM

Man, I wish my PP was in kim's mouth instead of that plastic goggle apparatus.

Posted by Anonymous | February 6, 2013 8:37 AM

$30 + ticketmaster fees for Webster Hall? Glad I'm going to the Bell House show.

Posted by Anonymous | February 6, 2013 8:41 AM

8:37, have you ever heard of a snorkel?

Posted by Anonymous | February 6, 2013 8:42 AM

scalper boner

Posted by Anonymous | February 6, 2013 9:37 AM

"You sir get my award for dumbest idiot of the month or just some loser troll baiting.

How did I know that there'd be a response like this one on that WH>Bell House comment?

Why, because WH is not in Brooklyn and within easy access to your tiny Williamsburg room you call an apartment? Oh, that's right, the Bell House is really the Scarf House anyway :)

Posted by Anonymous | February 6, 2013 9:37 AM

glad you are also 8:41 cuz i wouldn't wanna be in the same borough, let alone concert hall, with a cheap hipster like you.

die hipster scum, die.

Posted by Anonymous | February 6, 2013 9:38 AM

9:38 is mad because he found out about the Bell House show after it sold out.

Posted by Anonymous | February 6, 2013 9:49 AM

Gee whiz, I sure love music, don't you guys? So nice to find such a warm community to share the good times with!

Posted by Anonymous | February 6, 2013 10:09 AM

Actually, Webster Hall is better then Bell House for this gig. Bell House does not do loud shows that well, IMHO. Their soundsystem, or set up of the room just doesn't provide the necessary clarity - it's usually pretty muddled.

Posted by Anonymous | February 6, 2013 10:33 AM

10:32 is sulking in the corner of his closet-sized bedroom.

Posted by Anonymous | February 6, 2013 10:38 AM

presale lasted.. what? a minute?

Posted by Anonymous | February 6, 2013 12:08 PM

Damn, sold out pre sale...less then a minute

Posted by BOXX | February 6, 2013 12:10 PM

9/10 times when they have an AmEx presale it's to gauge interest for additional shows. Pretty good chance they'll add another one.

Posted by Anonymous | February 6, 2013 12:40 PM

9:37AM thinks that Bell House is closer to Williamsburg then Webster Hall; which it is not. And he thinks Williamsburg apartments are tiny compared to Manhattan apartments. Which... they are not. It must be very sad to not live in NYC, but post strange, angry messages unknowingly ignorant of the city one is writing about. Sad for him.

I'd probably rather see this show at Webster Hall - but who cares Last Splash sucks Pod is their only great album.

Posted by Anonymous | February 6, 2013 1:11 PM

Last Splash doesn't suck, bunch of great songs on there,

8:10 PM, why do you say the show being on a Monday is a good thing?

I think it's a bad thing bc I've gotta get up for work the next day

Posted by Anonymous | February 6, 2013 1:57 PM

Webster Hall = scalping dud. Mark my words. 1/2 face night of.

Posted by Anonymous | February 6, 2013 2:07 PM

Yeah even Pulp was 90% off night off

Posted by Anonymous | February 6, 2013 2:19 PM

if this is 1/2 face night of, then i'm rolling 20 deep for $300

Posted by Anonymous | February 6, 2013 2:30 PM

^You could have had it all, rolling in the deeeeeeep

Posted by Anonymous | February 6, 2013 2:36 PM

This show is gonna be awesome and so will the second NYC show they are sure to add. If anyone wants to fight about whether Last Splash is anything les than bitchin, I'll see you at the show. P.S. Why even go if you don't like Last Splash? And why comment on this post unless you're a loser?

Posted by Anonymous | February 6, 2013 2:55 PM

"$30 + ticketmaster fees for Webster Hall? Glad I'm going to the Bell House show."

You DO realize that the Bell House show was $25, right? $5 extra doesn't sound that bad to me.

(But I am much happier with my Bell House tickets too!)

just dream the dream that says "don't die of barley"

Posted by dust_anticipator894 | February 6, 2013 4:15 PM

Nothing like cashing in on the only album you did worth a shit over twenty years ago. Rock on sisters Deal.

Posted by Anonymous | February 6, 2013 6:13 PM

6:13, I take it you don't like or really know Pod, the Amps' Pacer, Title TK, Mountain Battles? If not, that makes me think you only know or like the singles from Last Splash, which makes me think you're outta your element.

Posted by Anonymous | February 6, 2013 7:49 PM

No, I've never even heard of those albums. WTF? Oh I see, I was thinking of a different band called Breeders. My mistake.

Posted by 6:13 | February 7, 2013 12:41 AM

There's also a horror movie called Breeders, maybe you were thinking of that. the Breeders are awesome; Kim Deal is unassailable.

Posted by Anonymous | February 7, 2013 10:47 AM

1:11's punctuation is that of a 10th grader. Sheesh.

Posted by Anonymous | February 7, 2013 11:42 AM

still one of the great press shots

nobody really gives a shit if your"refreshing" comments (or mine for that matter) are right or wrong so go support the music u do love. Everybody loves to kick out opinions but do you kick out the motherfuckn jams and make the music u want to hear.doubt it or you'd be at practice.why do I bother, this reminds me why I don't usually read the shitshow of comments or reviews.just dig what u dig

This makes me want to go smiling. It really does.

I really like when a band invents or breaks into the big league with a sound of their own , renewing rock n roll in their own little way. Just like breeders. They are one of my favorit bands , among many others.
