Postal Service

The Postal Service finally returned this year, ten years after the release of their only album, Give Up, and began confirming a few festival slots like Coachella and Primavera Sound. Now they've finally revealed headlining dates in the US and Europe, including one in NYC at Brooklyn's Barclays Center on June 14! Tickets for that show are not on sale yet but check ticketmaster for updates.

UPDATE: Presale tickets are available now via The Postal Service's website.

Posted by CJ | February 4, 2013 10:47 AM

wasn't expecting this venue
hope they play somewhere smaller too

Posted by Anonymous | February 4, 2013 10:51 AM

Really? Barclays Center? Way too big a venue for an act that isn't mainstream. Guess egos got too big!

Posted by Anonymous | February 4, 2013 10:53 AM

Hold off, these will be well below face day of.

Posted by Anonymous | February 4, 2013 10:56 AM

is Jenny Lewis in the band?

Posted by Anonymous | February 4, 2013 10:57 AM

$60 a ticket for GA? No thanks.

Posted by Anonymous | February 4, 2013 10:59 AM

Really?

Posted by Anonymous | February 4, 2013 11:03 AM

hope they play smaller venues
Barclays is way too big

Posted by Anonymous | February 4, 2013 11:03 AM

Hold on, this is ridiculous! Playing an arena??!?! Their sound is as close to being the antithesis of arena-rock as I could imagine.

Posted by Anonymous | February 4, 2013 11:04 AM

the past is over. northsix show was fun. boycott barclays for life.

Posted by Anonymous | February 4, 2013 11:07 AM

yes, jenny Lewis is in the band for this tour

Posted by Anonymous | February 4, 2013 11:08 AM

uhhhhhhhh. No way they will be able to sell this out. And I never thought Blur will play the Garden/Barclays. Guess it answers that question.

Posted by Anonymous | February 4, 2013 11:09 AM

WHAT? When is Blur playing?

Posted by Anonymous | February 4, 2013 11:17 AM

Moved to Mercury Lounge

Posted by Anonymous | February 4, 2013 11:21 AM

Blur and Stone Roses playing Garden/Barclays actually makes more sense although just as unpleasing. This is just the height of stupidity booking them here. Anyone who buys a ticket now or on the regular onsale date is a horse's ass. My guess is a smaller warm up date is announced after sluggish ticket sales for this. Bet it's at Terminal 5. O Bowery Presents you are just such fucking assholes. Congratulations you douches for helping to make NYC a terrible place to live for seeing concerts.

Posted by Anonymous | February 4, 2013 11:22 AM

presale sold out

Posted by Anonymous | February 4, 2013 11:29 AM

"presale sold out"

Yes they sold a few tickets to some very stupid people.

Posted by Anonymous | February 4, 2013 11:34 AM

who cares

Posted by Anonymous | February 4, 2013 11:35 AM

Thoughts on day of tickets? Below face? Discuss.

Posted by Anonymous | February 4, 2013 11:37 AM

You know it's bad when people are screaming for them to play Terminal 5.

Posted by Anonymous | February 4, 2013 11:39 AM

11:37-apparently you did not read any of the comments in the thread before you made one. Dunce. It is not a question of will they be below face but how much below face.

Posted by Anonymous | February 4, 2013 11:45 AM

They will never sell this out.

Posted by Anonymous | February 4, 2013 11:47 AM

HAHA what a joke. I was planning on seeing them but fuck that now, arena style? give me a break.

Posted by Anonymous | February 4, 2013 11:54 AM

I am excited for this show and am glad I got tickets today.

Posted by Anonymous | February 4, 2013 12:00 PM

"I am excited for this show and am glad I got tickets today."

I wouldn't be surprised if you got bullied all throughout your childhood and these days you get punched in the face on a regular basis.

Posted by Anonymous | February 4, 2013 12:03 PM

Save your money, stay at home and listen to the Grey's Anatomy soundtrack.

The last 2 posters are 2 guys who have very little of a life. They will match up perfectly with the loser at 12:37.

Posted by Anonymous | February 4, 2013 12:51 PM

when is the regular onsale date for this?

Posted by Anonymous | February 4, 2013 1:00 PM

Frankly, I wonder what Carlesimo is going to do with these guys. Tamborello's 3-point percentage has fallen off considerably, and Gibbard just isn't as quick as he used to be. Strange move for the organization, but maybe Prokhorov has a special place in his heart for these guys.

Posted by Nspks | February 4, 2013 1:05 PM

so any bets on which venue this gets moved to?

Posted by Anonymous | February 4, 2013 1:13 PM
