Bad news from UK band TOY, who were to have played their first NYC shows next month:
Bad news - the company processing our visas in the US have been delayed, which means that the New York shows have had to be cancelled. We were so excited about playing and are very sad and sorry to announce this.I, for one, am bummed. TOY's show at Mercury Lounge (3/19) is now Austin's Feathers, UK group Swim Deep and NYC's Tempers.SXSW are trying to sort out things with customs so that we can still play the shows in Austin. We can't wait to play in New York too, and will be rescheduling as soon as possible! We will announce further info as soon as we have it. xxx

The officer processing the visas for the band wasn't sure if they were men wearing women clothing, or women with ironic mustaches and hummus crust around their lips. Hence the delay.
