Serious star power tonight at Hammerstein Ballroom for Dave Grohl's Sound City Players, featuring the Foo Fighters plus his old Nirvana bandmate Krist Novoselic, plus Stevie Nicks, John Fogerty, FEAR's Lee Ving and more. Should be interesting.

Fashion Week continues, and though we're mostly ignoring it this time around, you'll find a flyer below for one of the many parties happening tonight. This one at Le Baron with Mike Nouveau, DJ duo Ladies Night (who are the very last act listed on this year's Coachella flyer), and more.

The Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Flaming Lips are playing SXSW. Check out a new teaser the new Yeah Yeahs album below..

Local Natives, who were just in NYC, made a video for their track "Heavy Feet" and you can watch that below.

What says "til death do us part" more than Slayer's "Raining Blood"? Check out video of a couple's wedding where the classic tune was used in a rather, er, unique way.

What else?

Anybody ever sit in 2nd balcony at Hammerstein? Sound? Sightlines?
3+ hour show

Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2013 10:44 AM

I think it not worth the attention

Posted by dunlop | February 13, 2013 10:52 AM

The sounds in the second balcony at Hammerstein is like Terminal 5 under water.
Sightlines, no obstructions, but you're high up.

Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2013 10:55 AM

10:44 seats are tight up there...leg room sucks...sightlines are ok and the sound is ok..I like it better then the floor though which they pack to tight.

Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2013 10:55 AM

Tickets for the Sound City show are still in Ticketmaster, too...just pulled one.

Posted by Funderburgh | February 13, 2013 11:18 AM

It's Novoselic, not Noveselic

Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2013 11:23 AM

That couple getting married don't look like your average Slayer fans but kudos to homegirl when she does the high jump in that wedding dress and heels.

Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2013 11:23 AM

"Wow Sound City tickets less then half price on stubhub..Several folks are taking a bath"

Yeah amateurs who don't know shit. The smart ones sold early and made some nice coin.

Hammerstein seating sucks. It is too far from the stage and the sound is not good. Yes they pack it in tight on the floor but if you get a nice spot it is loads better down there. Just don't be afraid to push and shove your way to where you want to be.

Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2013 11:50 AM

that guys seems really romantic

Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2013 11:50 AM

"Just don't be afraid to push and shove your way to where you want to be."

Or get there early enough to get a good spot and not be a total piece of shit dickbag who shows up 5 minutes before the band goes on stage expecting to pummel his way through the crowd to the rail.

Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2013 12:15 PM

Terminal 5 sucks dick. The sound is terrible there!

Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2013 12:16 PM

12:15
To each his own. Suck my dick bitch.

Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2013 12:29 PM

three plus hour show? Give me a seat.

Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2013 12:35 PM

^You must be really old

Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2013 12:40 PM

@12:35

Enjoy your short life full of endless disappointment

Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2013 12:41 PM

ass roid is coming tommorrow

Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2013 1:09 PM

12:41:

Because standing for almost four hours is so much less disappointing than sitting?

Enjoy your life of posting nonsense.

Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2013 1:19 PM

I agree with the seat...if you work on your feet for 9 hours a day last thing you want is another 4 hours on your feet!

Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2013 1:45 PM

11:50 sounds like a grade A douchebag who I'd love to punch in the face. You're the kind of dick that ruins concerts for others.

Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2013 1:48 PM

Yet 1:48 you are probably a huge pussy who would never put his words into action

Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2013 2:00 PM

Rather be a huge pussy then a small dick

Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2013 2:29 PM

clap clap 2:29 maybe best comeback ever on BV!

Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2013 2:46 PM

who said anything about being a pussy? it's called being considerate and respectful. try it sometime.

Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2013 2:56 PM

Its not the 80's anymore folks when pushing and shoving to get to the front of the pit was not only tolerated but it was expected. Nowadays it is just rude and obnoxious.

Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2013 3:01 PM

Switchfoot at Irving plaza tonight!

Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2013 4:02 PM

Actually 2:29 that was probably one of the lamest comebacks ever on BV. Hopefully 2:46 was being sarcastic or he could just be the kind of schmuck who thinks SNL is cutting edge humor. Pushing and shoving is still tolerated and accepted. It's what happens. You don't own the spot you stand in. Go fuck yourself and don't go to shows if you don't like it.

Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2013 5:01 PM

you also won't own those teeth in your mouth for very long if you try to push and shove past me

Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2013 5:18 PM

^Right, another big talking computer warrior, pussy bitch in person.

Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2013 5:30 PM

I'd love to meet this small dick big talk wannabe scalper pushy bitch in person. I would have such a good time pissing on his pulp-beaten face I might even skip the show and go get a cheeseburger afterwards.

Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2013 6:27 PM

^Ok internet tough guy.

Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2013 6:38 PM

You guys can meet up at Jay St. Station.

Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2013 6:40 PM

5:01 PM is one of those dicks who walks into people and puts his feet on the subway seats like the self centered no manners fool he is.

Posted by Anonymous | February 13, 2013 11:10 PM

Push and shove at your own risk.
I've personally punched people in the face for being a dick in the GA Pit.

Posted by Anonymous | February 14, 2013 9:58 AM

11:10, dontcha hate that? I especially hate the dudes who sit on the train with their legs wide open, taking up 2 seats as if they believe their junk is that big.

Posted by Anonymous | February 14, 2013 10:09 AM

The Hayden show was good, if anybody cares.

Posted by Anonymous | February 14, 2013 10:20 AM

10:09 sometimes it is not about the size but airing out the area

Posted by Anonymous | February 14, 2013 10:38 AM

The guy in the first picture has a crazy bread.

Posted by mike | June 25, 2013 1:05 PM
