Alt-J at Webster Hall - 3/22/13
Alt-J

Alt-J brought their tour with Hundred Waters through NYC for their biggest shows here yet this past weekend (both sold out). First, they played Webster Hall on Friday (3/22), and pictures from that show are in this post, and then they hit Terminal 5 on Sunday (pictures from that one coming soon). In between those two dates, Hundred Waters stopped by Glasslands on Saturday for their own show here too.

At Webster Hall, Alt-J played most of their 2012 debut, An Awesome Wave, and also included the track, "Buffalo," which they contributed to the soundtrack for Silver Linings Playbook (the recorded version features guest vocals from Mountain Man). More pictures, the setlist, and videos from Webster Hall (unfortunately none of Hundred Waters) below...

Who gives a feel?

I'm pissed about the lack of Hundred Waters coverage.

disappointing live, quite boring actually; their album was good, expected a lot more from them. Don't think I'll bother watching them again. And boy was the crowd at Webster Hall terrible - the entire back-half downstairs was talking through the set - suppose they were just happy to be there but not really to watch & listen to the band. Posers.

there were some lameos up front right as well. why come, get real close, and then talk about your problems with your hairdos? but there were some people really into it as well. they sounded amazing. and the drummer. the drummer!

They covered "a real hero" last night. Just put it on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w-1SJ7zLueQ

@12:24, indeed. worst crowd I've seen at Webster in quite some time. It seemed like half the kids were there only because they had heard about the band without actually listening to the album. I had a blast but do wish everyone were more laid back and into the music instead of being assholes, talking shit about the people standing near them.
