Metallica with James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich, Dave Mustaine, Cliff Burton
Metallica

Today, March 5, is a significant day in the lore of one of the most influential bands in metal, the one and only Metallica. Thirty years ago, legendary bassist Cliff Burton joined the Bay Area crew, taking the band to a new apex with his amazing abilities and unique take on the instrument. Pictures from the era, courtesy of Brian Lew, the author of Murder in the Front Row, can be seen at Invisible Oranges. Not to be missed.
