Depeche Mode

Synthpop icons Depeche Mode will release their new album, Delta Machine, in a couple weeks. Tonight (3/11) they'll play The Late Show with David Letterman. We knew they'd be announcing the North American wing of their 2013 tour sometime soon and now we have details. They'll be in the NYC area for two shows, including Barclays Center on September 6 and Nikon at Jones Beach on September 8. Tickets go on sale Saturday, April 6 at 10 AM, with a CiTi presale starting April 1 at 10 AM, an Amazon presale beginning April 3 at 10 AM, a Facebook presale on 4/4, and LiveNation mobile and venue presales hitting 4/5. That's a lot of presales!

Meanwhile, Depeche Mode are in Austin later this week for SXSW where they'll play on Friday night with Feathers (who play our day party the next day) opening. All Depeche Mode North American dates are listed below...

Brooklyn is part of Long Island now?

Posted by Anonymous | March 11, 2013 2:26 PM

Is MSG still closed during the summers? That would explain why they aren't playing there.

Posted by Anonymous | March 11, 2013 2:31 PM

LOL @ 2:26...You might want to invest in a map before you post easy questions on BV.

Posted by Anonymous | March 11, 2013 2:31 PM

I'm surprised it is not the usual Jones Beach/PNC combo.

Posted by Anonymous | March 11, 2013 3:35 PM

I don't know if they're playing the Letterman show but they're actually doing a "Live On Letterman" which is a 45 min set in the Ed Sullivan Theater.

Posted by Anonymous | March 11, 2013 3:44 PM

325 Please let us know what awesome bands you think we should be listening to instead of DM. Lots of people still like these guys and a lot of other bands that have been around forever because the newer ones just seem to suck. I can't think of any band from the last 15 years that I would want to see at an arena.

Posted by Anonymous | March 11, 2013 3:49 PM

"325 Please let us know what awesome bands you think we should be listening to instead of DM."

I think this is the same asshole from other threads. I poised the same question to him/her in the Governor's Ball post and they refused to answer besides the generic "Anything but this crap" answer.

Posted by Anonymous | March 11, 2013 4:06 PM

Yo 4:06 why don't you shut the fuck up and start listening to good music

Posted by Anonymous | March 11, 2013 4:22 PM

@1:49 - "Big Dane" is the new iPods. Suck it.
