DOWNLOAD: 3421 - "Sparks" (MP3)

Israeli live dubstep duo 3421, who we first caught at the Jerusalem Music Conference over the summer, are coming over to the US for some shows this month, including of course, SXSW. While they're in Austin, they'll open the official BrooklynVegan showcase at 8 PM, which goes down on Friday March 15 on the Maggie Mae's Rooftop (323 E. 6th Street) with XXYYXX, Mykki Blanco, The Underachievers, Pictureplane, and more. SXSW badges are welcome and general admission tickets will be available at the door.

After SXSW, the duo will pass through NYC for a previously mentioned show at Mercury Lounge on March 20 with Roy Orbit (tickets), and another show two days earlier at Knitting Factory (3/18) for a VVYNL party with I, Synthesist, Khalid Rivera, DJ David Martinez, and LoveCryme. TIckets for that show are on sale now. All dates are listed below.

3421's live setup consists of a drummer (who plays an acoustic kit) and a synth player/vocalist. Their track, "Sparks," which you can watch an official live video of below and download above, combines Interpol-esque baritone vocals with bass-heavy dubstep rhythms. In that one, the "dubstep" parts are more along the lines of Rustie or SBTRKT, but other tracks, like "Ultimate Sun" have more maximalist bass drops like Woo Boost-era Rusko.

All dates are listed, along with that video and song streams, below...

At least we maintain a good relationship with Israel and they provide us with intel etc. What about the aid to Pakistan...what does that do for us?

i must ask
what does music got to do with politics?
why do you have to put shit in anything good that is happening?
with this attitude this war that you are saying you are against- is happening! just because people like you.
live your life in the best way you can and leave others.
did the 3421 crew said anything you dont agree with?
