I remember this band when they started out as a decent mid-80s type hardcore band, then the singer who I never saw at a hardcore show before 1995 yet he was from my generation bleached his hair blonde a la Porcell and this band became a straightedge band complete with varsity letter font logo and fingerpointing. Funny.

This Bowl is ridiculous in a bad way. It is proof that hardcore has no more ideas or creativity left, just to flock to the one big dumb show at a big dumb club a year for yesteryear's bands who had their time and need to step off like Judge, KYI, Breakdown, etc.

I can't wait for this. Kill your idols is definitely the best hardcore band to come out of New York asides from gorilla biscuits and sick of it all. I could care less about judge. Enjoy the show!!!

These Judge shows are merely old dudes including bands (Judge, KYI etc.) and people who missed the boat acting out their adolescent fantasies and it's pathetic.

People two shows sold-out support that phoniness yet support current, active hardcore bands at a weakass clip compared to that. 3000-4000 people will be at both Judge shows and yet any two shows made up of four or five current, active hardcore bands for $10 each would be lucky to draw 150-200 (or one-twentieth) between them. That's a fuck you to the here and now bands and to that I say fuck everyone attending these shows. You care about the dead bands wayyy more than the current ones and that's weak. That's not what hardcore is about. Shit has turned into an oldies revue.

@10:11 Other than the headliners, most bands playing the BNB bowl are probably not making that much really. The expenses to run these shows are huge. I don't think they did it to make a "quick buck."

$3000 is one week's pay in construction since when? No union or non-union construction worker makes $3G X 52 weeks = $156G a year (or put another way $3000 by 40 hours a week = $75 an hour.) A foreman on a job to build a skyscraper doesn't even make that much ($3000 by 40-60 hours a week = $50-75 an hour, $20-35 an hour over what a journeyman makes? I don't think so.) A construction company owner or contractor oh yeah definitely, but not a hardhat.

Assuming 40 hours a week x $35 an hour = $1400 gross.

20 hours overtime x $52.50 an hour (time and a half) = $1050 gross.

$2450 a week gross less taxes.

The gross is $550 less than $3000 and the net will be under $2000.
