Megafaun @ Ecstatic Music Fest, 2/27/2013

The Ecstatic Music Festival has been happening at the Kaufman Center's Merkin Concert Hall for the last couple months. A couple weeks back (2/27), psych-folk act Megfaun performed with Berlin-based composer Arnold Dreyblatt. It was for them part of an ongoing, years-in-the-making collaboration, here at it's most realized to date. You can stream their Ecstatic Music fest performance below.
The festival continues on Thursday (3/14) with Bang on a Can People's Commissioning Fund Concert which will feature world premieres of new commissions by Anna Clyne, Dan Deacon, Jóhann Jóhannsson, Paula Matthusen, and Fay Kueen Wang's Weltinseln which is sold out. Then on Saturday (3/16), composer Imani Uzuri joins Numinous ensemble founder Joseph C. Phillips, Jr. Tickets to that show are still available.
More pics from the 2/27 performance are below.
