Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds
Yeah Yeah Yeahs

The line to get into Stubb's last night (3/15) for NPR's SXSW showcase snaked down all the way to I-35. With a line-up featuring Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Alt-J, Waxahatchee, Youth Lagoon and more, it's no surprise. As the sun set, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds took the stage and delivered a powerhouse, career-spanning set. Later, Yeah Yeah Yeahs previewed much of their new album Mosquito for the crowd and Karen O was literally luminescent on stage.

Both Nick Cave and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs have upcoming NYC shows, and all of them are sold out. More pics from their respective sets, plus video from Waxahatchee's set, are below.

is there any good reason why these are getting posted on the main page and not on the Austin page? Nobody gives a shit about sxsw that is into any sort of good music.

Karen O Outfit looks pretty wicked i like the biker/punk/glam get up. The head lamp light thing looks pretty epic. Wish I could have seen that moment live.

Did any one get pics of Alt-J? I heard they are sweet live

Is it me, or is Nick Cave's hairline de-receding?

@2:52 The Yeah Yeah Yeahs are a New York band.

252 Music doesn't really get much better than Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds that's why fool! And having NYs YYYs on the same bill makes it a pretty special gig no matter where it was. Looking forward to seeing them both soon in NYC.
