Linkin Park has my name written all over it.

2:25, when you say something like that, you have to add "no homo."

Wow, there are some seriously cool releases this year! Not always the case in past years, unfortunately.

Posted by Anonymous | March 22, 2013 2:33 PM

So cool that VU got back together to record something for record store day. Looking forward to that Sterling Morrison guitar solo!

Record Store Day...what a joke.

Posted by Anonymous | March 22, 2013 2:39 PM

When are we gonna have FLAC store day?

Posted by Anonymous | March 22, 2013 2:40 PM

Isn't this just a scam to get us to pay once more for something we already own? Are any of these actually new releases? Everything I bought last year was either part of a studio album about to come out (necessitating that we pay for the same track again) or alternate versions mixed in with previously released material at double the cost.

"Wow, there are some seriously cool releases this year! Not always the case in past years, unfortunately."

Actually there is not as cool stuff this year. Seems pretty lackluster. I mean if you like good music that is and things that are actually rare or worthwhile

Orange Juice vinyl reissues!

Posted by Anonymous | March 22, 2013 3:02 PM

Look for mass record store closings starting on April 21st.

Posted by Anonymous | March 22, 2013 3:13 PM

Why aren't there any prices included on that list??

Posted by Anonymous | March 22, 2013 3:22 PM

what price, happiness?

Posted by Anonymous | March 22, 2013 3:30 PM

Where's this Velvet Underground record mentioned in the BV writeup? Don't see it listed.

Posted by Anonymous | March 22, 2013 3:42 PM

2:58, that really hurts because your opinion is important to me.

Posted by Anonymous | March 22, 2013 3:45 PM

i don't see it in this list but The Velvet Underground - Scepter Studio Session LP is a RSD release listed in a lot of places.

Posted by Anonymous | March 22, 2013 3:52 PM

3:45 - BUUUUURRRRNNNNNNNN!!!!!!

Posted by Anonymous | March 22, 2013 3:56 PM

Thanks, 3:52. You appear to be correct. Oh well -- another (probably expensive) release that's been available in other formats for ages.

Posted by Anonymous | March 22, 2013 4:03 PM

BIGGIE SMALLS!!

Posted by Anonymous | March 22, 2013 4:13 PM

3:02 said it.

Posted by Anonymous | March 22, 2013 4:54 PM

Are people still for this?

Posted by Anonymous | March 23, 2013 2:49 AM

Is there any special new releases by Hermin's Hermits this year?

Posted by Anonymous | March 23, 2013 6:34 AM

DUST. Good shit.

Posted by Anonymous | March 23, 2013 6:58 AM

Record Store Day is such a joke. It's amusing to see all the sheep lined up at 4am in front of their local record store to shell out the big bucks on overpriced 45's they think will someday become valuable. Look at the prices of any "Record Store Day" release from previous years, they're practically worthless. If you even have to ask yourself if what you're buying will someday appreciate in value, it won't. But that's ok, keep telling yourself vinyl sounds "warmer" or whatever other bullshit jack white spews at you clowns. Paying for music...LOL

Posted by BS | March 23, 2013 10:55 AM

There's nothing here worth lining up at 4am for.

Posted by Anonymous | March 23, 2013 11:26 AM

@10:55 "Paying for music...LOL"

You are a clown. Hey, next time you get your paycheck from whatever shitty job you have, please just tear it up, or send it to me...I mean, there's no need to be paid for your job, right?

Posted by Anonymous | March 23, 2013 1:06 PM

Notice how everyone lines up for these stupid records on one fake holiday, but whatever goes unsold sits in those stores FOREVER? People eventually figure out that you don't have to pay $70 for a vinyl copy of a Fleetwood Mac album, and then the stores are stuck with that crap.

1:06 needs your money to feed his junky lifestyle
"I'm not harming anyone else"
The paradigm has shifted, grampa. Sorry you missed that revolution.

Posted by Anonymous | March 23, 2013 1:51 PM

Dear 1:06, nice of you to ASSume I have some shitty job, I actually make 100K a year bro. Money spent going to concerts and supporting the musicians in other avenues that don't involve your antiquated ideology of how music should be a tangible medium. Like I have so much time to sit in front of a phonograph all day long. LOL

Posted by BS | March 23, 2013 6:02 PM

MP3's sound like shit. Always have always will.

Sorry you missed that revolution Brah.

Posted by Anonymous | March 23, 2013 6:17 PM

A lot of Artists don't tour... And they depend on music sales. Downloading/Stealing music is for assholes.
In addition, your twinky little iPod gets crushed under the weight of my crate.

Posted by Anonymous | March 23, 2013 6:31 PM

Plenty of low pressing record store day releases go WAY up in value.
You clearly have little knowledge and intelligence. Perhaps you should download a new brain.

Posted by Anonymous | March 23, 2013 6:42 PM

I'm not stealing from artists, that's what record labels do. How much do labels really pay most artists other than the ones who are at the VERY top of the totem pole? Not much. I cut out the middle man. All labels do is make names for themselves by leeching off the talents of the artists.

And to the people who think RSD releases are valuable, name some examples. I can't tell you how many of those split 45's I've seen in clearance bins.

Posted by BS | March 23, 2013 6:49 PM

"MP3's sound like shit. Always have always will.
Sorry you missed that revolution Brah."

Like 99% of people give a fuck about sound quality.

You must be one of those tossers who defends DJ's who spin vinyl too.

Posted by BS | March 23, 2013 6:52 PM

^You are a colossal idiot. This prized piece of shit above is the reason why so much shitty music is made today and places like Terminal 5 can continue to stay in business.

Posted by Anonymous | March 23, 2013 7:06 PM

"your twinky little iPod gets crushed under the weight of my crate"

and your crate gets crushed under my Marshall stack.

SUPPORT LIVE MUSIC. the rest is for promotion of the live shows, as it always has been.

Posted by Anonymous | March 23, 2013 7:27 PM

Hey 7:06, way to be a tough guy talking shit behind an anonymous screen name!

Coward. I'd put you in your fucking spot if I met you in real life. Now go back to listing to your obscure 45's and being a liberal hipster asshat, pussy.

Posted by BS | March 23, 2013 8:35 PM

Open threats, political slander, borderline homophobia, illegally downloading music, bragging about how much you make, and so on.

If this isn't the true definition of a douchebag, I don't know what is.

Posted by Anonymous | March 23, 2013 9:11 PM

Tuff cookiez up in here

Don't forget a little pussy bitch as well.

"Dear 1:06, nice of you to ASSume I have some shitty job, I actually make 100K a year bro."

McDonalds franchise owners don't even make 100K, and with the way you carry yourself on here it's obvious you don't have the personality or intelligence to last one day as a manager or even a cashier. You need to step away from the fryelator, because whatever toxic chemicals they're putting in the oil is obviously affecting your ability to think logically.

There are psychs for people like you. I suggest you visit one soon.
