The Dandy Warhols are celebrating the 13th anniversary of their 2000 LP, Thirteen Tales from Urban Bohemia, with a tour where they'll play the album in full. That record contains, if you need your memory jogged, "Bohemian Like You," which was a Top 10 single in the UK and a Modern Rock Radio hit in the U.S. (Video is below.) Dates include NYC's Terminal 5 on May 31. Tickets to that show go on AmEx presale today (3/27) at noon with the general on-sale happening Friday (3/29) at noon.

Desperate Warhols

They started going down hill with this record.

they should play a 'greatest hits' tour instead

"they should play a 'greatest hits' tour instead"

They have more than one hit?

It is not only pathetic that they have to tour for an album that is not a classic, but T5? I wouldn't mind seeing the show, but not at T5. Maybe if they had the same opening bands from the original tour. Get Creeper Lagoon back together.

How about we get Zia's tt's back together, oh wait I always get left in the drawer...

sincerely,

They are a joke.

Posted by Anonymous | March 27, 2013 10:33 AM

this record is good, they will probably play their known songs at the encore

The millennial bands are touring full album plays now? What a way to steal the thunder from the Mark McGrath, Everclear and 90s bands package tours. Totally unfair. At least wait until, like 2018.

they were good up through 'monkey house' which is an underrated album. they went downhill fast after that though.

They may actually enjoy playing the songs, as opposed to Evan and his drug-addled ego

Last tour they played Irving and it wasn't sold out. T5 is really a reach. This is going to be one of those shows with people giving away tix out front.

No band has ever done less with major label funding than these trust fund dicks.

Complete joke DAWG!!!

10:35 is right.

"they should play a 'greatest hits' tour instead"

They already did! They toured for "the Capitol Years" compilation a couple years ago. "Odditorium" has a few pretty good songs, but they've been tough to listen to since then. Surprised they're still considered big enough to play the Vic.

This is actually going to be fucking awesome.

Posted by Anonymous | March 27, 2013 12:24 PM

I agree - this will be an awesome show. Stoners unite!

Posted by Anonymous | March 27, 2013 12:41 PM

SHOW SOME FUCKING SYMPATHY PEOPLE!!! They're just too fuckin broke to wait until the 20th anniversary.

Posted by Anonymous | March 27, 2013 3:58 PM

I think you mean douchebags unite

I can see how it's relatively easy to make fun of the Warhols but I gotta say they have made, bar the last 2 albums, some very good records.
