The Moog Sound Lab is a video series where bands and artists are invited to perform in the Moog Music factory in Asheville, North Carolina. With an arsenal of Moog equipment at their disposal, the musicians offer radically new takes on their material.
The first in this video series: Toro Y Moi, who perform their single "So Many Details" from Anything in Return. Using such synths as the Little Phatty, and the company's flagship Minimoog Voyager, Chaz Bundick and crew deliver a much mellower, soulful version of the track. For more info, check out the Moog Sound Lab site. Look for Toro Y Moi in Austin next week if you're heading to SXSW. Moog has a showcase there as well, with Austra, The Soft Moon, Xeno & Oaklander, Kontravoid, Survive and Ssleeperhold on March 16 at Elysium.
You can watch the Toro Y Moi Moog Sound Lab video, and check out more pics from the session, below.
