With Ween on permanent hiatus, Aaron Freeman released Rod McKuen tribute Marvelous Clouds, his first solo album under his own name, last May. No word on a new record, but the artist formerly known as Gene Ween does have some spring tour dates, including one in NYC at Music Hall of Williamsburg on May 10. Tickets for that show go on AmEx presale today (4/3) at noon with the regular on-sale happening Friday (4/5) at noon.

He is doing very well personally/emotionally since Ween's breakup, and it's bittersweet because I miss that band so much. I wish the best for him but at the same time COME BACK PAPA

He's basically only been doing Ween songs with 1 or 2 McKuen songs and a couple of new ones thrown in at all his recent shows, so it's gonna be good. As much as I'd love Ween to get back together ASAP, the acoustic demos Aaron posted online of his new songs sound very promising. Plus, new Moistboyz coming soon!
