Wilco

As mentioned a couple times, the AmericanaramA tour with Bob Dylan and Wilco is coming to the NY area this summer with five shows, including Nikon at Jones Beach on July 27 with opener Beck. The other four area shows have My Morning Jacket as opener and are July 19 The Ballpark at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport, CT, July 21 at Saratoga Performing Arts Center in Saratoga, NY, July 26 at Pier A Park in Hoboken, NJ, and July 28 at Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden, NJ.

Tickets to four of these shows go on presale today (4/30) at 10 AM. (Jones Beach and Sartoga PAC are here; Harbor Yard are here; Pier A Park are here; Susquehanna Bank Center are already on sale.) For these and all presales happening today, the password is ""TENACIOUS."

for some reason Harbor Yard (7/19) is the only venue NOT listed for presale tickets. What's up with that?

Skinheads would love this tour, nothing but white people in the audience.

I'm sure Hoboken show will have so many tix day of. Wish it was Wilco/Beck/MMJ instead - nver understood the appeal of gramps.

Great price for the aging boomer/"I only go to one concert a year" set.

Posted by Anonymous | April 30, 2013 12:54 PM

I would rather wait until day of show when people are giving these tix away

hoboken is an overpriced mess

Agree with 1:12, but it's not at all surprising. Any combination of even two of these three bands could easily charge that much (or more) for shows at the Beacon or MSG.

"Skinheads would love this tour, nothing but white people in the audience."

I agree, Jay-Z needs to get up there with Dylan. We could then have a more cultured event then.

But Beacon or MSG or even Radio City would actually be good, 3:38.

They're are 3 bands playing for $78.50. At the July 26 at Pier A Park in Hoboken, NJ, show. That's $26.16 a band. Have you ever payed as little as $27.00 to see Bob Dylan, My Morning Jacket, or Wilco.

Posted by Anonymous | April 30, 2013 8:37 PM

I heard that Bob doesn't allow the opening acts to even look at him.

Posted by Anonymous | April 30, 2013 9:13 PM

Really, 7:16? A giant stadium is better than an outdoor park in summer? You could easily argue either venue as being superior.

Posted by Anonymous | April 30, 2013 10:09 PM

Are there seats at pier a?

Posted by Anonymous | April 30, 2013 10:48 PM

8:37 I actually have..years ago albiet. Scored a free Willie Nelson/Dylan ticket at Montclair outside. Saw Wilco back in 97 for $18 and Saw MMJ at a free show.

Still I hear what you are saying

Common , Wilco should be more fucking famous, just because they deserve it and more people should listen all this good stuff., i want a Jazzmaster guitar just because Wilco ,Sonic Youth too xD.

Every one has the right to their own opinion and I can understand if you don’t like a band or a song. But if you hate wilco, then why would you come to one of their videos in the first place? I don’t like Justin Beber or any of that pop music that is out today.

A friend and I are going to the Jones Beach show - does anyone want to hitch a ride in our Zipcar? We are picking up the car from the lot near the Brooklyn Academy of Music. $25 for round trip. I will be designated driver (apparently they don't sell beer or wine at Jones Beach anyway?) and we won't leave until show is over. Any takers - email me! Like the Rainman, I'm a very good driver.
