Caitlin Rose at Mercury Lounge – 4/1/13

Folk rocker Caitlin Rose released her rousing album, The Stand In, last month and has been on tour in support of it. We caught her at our SXSW day party, and again in NYC at her Mercury Lounge show last night (4/1). Pictures from that show are in that post. It was her second of two NYC shows in the past week, including Saturday’s Union Hall show. Both were supported by Andrew Combs. At the Mercury Lounge show, Caitlin played a lot of her new album, in addition to two songs from her 2010 debut, and closed her set with a cover of the Buck Owens classic, “I’ve Got a Tiger by the Tail.”
