A few weeks ago, Saturday Night Live ran a filmed segment on fictional UK punk Ian Rubbish (aka Fred Armisen) who hated everything except the late Margaret Thatcher. Well, Fred has been carrying on the joke. You may have seen him as Rubbish opening for Vampire Weekend at Roseland on Sunday, and now he’s actually released an EP as Ian Rubbish — including “Sweet Iron Lady” and “Maggie Thatcher” — as a free download. You may remember when Fred and Dave Grohl had fun with ’80s hardcore on SNL a while back.
