Laura Marling at the McKittrick Hotel in 2011 (more by Chris La Putt)
Laura Marling

As mentioned, the always-impressive UK folk singer Laura Marling is releasing her fourth album, Once I Was an Eagle, on May 28. She'll be supporting the new album with a North American tour, including a show in Brooklyn on the day of the album's release (5/28) at Roulette. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday (5/3) at noon. All dates are listed below.

Laura was just on Later... with Jools Holland this past Friday (4/26) to perform the new album's single, "Master Hunter." A video of that performance and a stream of the studio version of the track are below. She also just made a short film titled When Brave Bird Saved, which you can also watch below.

There are many modern music videos that are popular because they are by big name artists, this is the first music video I have found in a while that left me intrigued, inspired, and made me think. Master Hunter is the first song I've heard of Laura Marling's and I absolutely loved it. Anyone know the names of the dancers?

First time I listen to her. Guitarplaying reminds me just a little bit of Don McLeans first LP "Tapestry". Good stuff.
