Lemuria announce new album and tour (dates)

Lemuria at Warsaw in 2012 (more by Lukas Hodge)
Lemuria

Punky indie pop trio Lemuria, who you may have recently caught in NYC opening for Titus Andronicus, opening for Fucked Up, or at the Don Giovanni showcase, haven’t released an album since 2011’s Pebble, and they’re finally set to follow it this year with their third full length, The Distance Is So Big, due out June 18 via Bridge Nine Records. Like Pebble, it was recorded by Jawbox frontman J. Robbins. Check out the album art below.

Lemuria will also be heading on a North American tour this May prior to the release of the album. That tour includes NYC-area shows at Maxwell’s on May 24 and Shea Stadium on May 25. Tickets for the Maxwell’s show are on sale now. No advance tickets for the Shea Stadium show at the moment.

All dates are listed, along with the video for “Pleaser” from Pebble and The Distance Is So Big album art, below…
