Phoenix at Music Hall of Williamsburg, 4/5/2013 (more by PSquared Photography)
Phoenix

Two days after announcing the existence of the second edition of Jay-Z's of Made in America festival, here comes the initial line-up. Set to go down August 31 - September 1 at Philadelphia's Benjamin Franklin Parkway, look for appearances from Beyonce, Queens of the Stone Age, Nine Inch Nails, Kendrick Lamar, Miguel (who is collaborating with Kendrick), Solange, The Gaslight Anthem (who just announced two huge NYC shows), Phoenix (who just played MHoW and SNL), 2Chainz and more.

UPDATE: an initial announcement accidentally included artists from the 2012 lineup mixed in with the 2013 lineup. Those mistakes made it into our post but are now fixed.

So far no details on ticketing. Full line-up is below...

HA HA SOLANGE is at the top of the Lineup and Beyonce is at the bottom!

ALSO first time these two have been together besides a family picnic right?

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2013 1:31 PM

Just Florence Welsh, huh? What happened to The Machine?

Posted by Doc | April 10, 2013 1:33 PM

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2013 1:46 PM

This couldn't be more corporate. Way to go Philly.

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2013 1:46 PM

I may or may not be taking a train to Philly.

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2013 1:48 PM

Tickets are available on Amex presale. $117 after fees.

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2013 1:55 PM

this line up for 117 is amazing

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2013 2:07 PM

Bought tickets! Had such a great time last year. Very well run. Great venue.

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2013 2:21 PM

how can you complain about this. $117 total cost after fees for this business - most of you just paid a good chunk of that for HTDA's pos show in nyc. now you can get the real thing.

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2013 2:37 PM

last year was really good, especially while reminded yourself throughout the weekend that you only paid $100 and change.

philly is so close to nyc too - this and gov ball are the fests this year, apparently.

hopefully they don't coachella the set times.

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2013 2:38 PM

Bought the two day pass, and booked the hotel and bus ride earlier when they were just halfway through the announcements, and damn I am glad I did 'cos it got even better after that... Went just for the day on the Sunday last year and had a great time, made it easy to go for the whole thing this year.

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2013 2:40 PM

This site used to be made up of such interesting and eclectic readers. Look what the fuck it has come to now. You large fucking idiots above saying this is a great fest just go down to Philly and stay there. Or stand in front of trains. You clueless fucks. This shit is the worst.

Your blind rage is so interesting and eclectic. Original as hell. Can't wait for the sophomore rage EP.

Here's hoping for a local NIN show.

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2013 4:59 PM

Not to be a nitpicker, but lineup listed on the MIA website doesn't include some of the names listed here: no Florence, Drake, or Skrillex. Still a solid lineup for $117, but just thought I'd mention.

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2013 5:08 PM

"Here's hoping for a local NIN show."

You can be 100% certain of that. Agreed with the person above. This festival blows, even for $117

"You can be 100% certain of that. Agreed with the person above. This festival blows, even for $117"

the person above said it was a good festival for $117. and NIN aren't playing local shows until fall/winter 2013 at the absolute earliest, so get yer fix.

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2013 5:33 PM

Flying to Lollapalooza for NIN. Going to Philly for NIN. Looking forward to taking the subway for local NIN shows, too.

NIN NIN NIN

when did you ask Trent what his touring plans were? Please share deets.

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2013 5:40 PM

Anyone know if NIN and QOTSA are both playing the same day?

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2013 5:46 PM

The website mentions nothing about Drake?

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2013 6:00 PM

Could someone explain why Drake is liked? I personally don't get it. He's just i-ight.

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2013 7:27 PM

this list is wrong many of these acts aren't playing.

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2013 8:31 PM

they're all playing, just haven't been announced. info probably wasn't supposed to be made public

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2013 9:49 PM

also appar empire of the sun is playin this too?

Posted by Anonymous | April 10, 2013 10:05 PM

Skrillex and Birdy Nam Nam are most likely playing with A$AP Rocky, and Florence is showing for her Calvin Harris song if I had to guess. Not sure if they're doing full sets.

Queens of the Stone Age

A Dutch company is sponsoring a Made in America festival.

When was this site ever made up of INTERESTING and ECLECTIC readers? It's been troll-bait since day 1.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2013 10:07 AM

"A Dutch company is sponsoring a Made in America festival."

now you're nitpicking. anheuser-busch was created in 1860, the multinational conglomerate located in belgium was only founded in 2004, blatantly for the sake of taxation.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2013 11:33 AM

11:33 not really true. That company outright bought Aneuser Busch - the conglomeration may have been formed for taxation only but it wasn't Anheuser Busch pulling those strings AB no longer exists as we knew it and it's foreigners that now own and control it.

Which... I have no problem with. But 8:14AM is 100% right about the funny irony and not nit-picking at all.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2013 1:48 PM

Why are The Velvet Underground so prominently featured in the marketing for this? Did the designer not know who the photos were and just think they were some cool hipsters with shades on?

fucking idiots.

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2013 2:13 PM

@213 fucking idiot

Posted by Anonymous | April 11, 2013 4:05 PM
