AraabMUZIK victim of robbery attempt, recovering from gunshot wound

AraabMUZIK is currently in hospital recovering from a gunshot wound as the victim of an attempted robbery near his home on Wednesday night (5/1), Billboard reports. Word from his camp (who took the above instagram):

Rumors have begun to circulate and first and foremost, we want to let everyone know that AraabMUZIK is currently alive and well. He was out in his neighborhood last night with friends and unfortunately the victim of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. He is recovering now and police are investigating the crime. We appreciate all the concern and fan support and Araab is looking forward to a speedy recovery and returning to the stage as soon as he can.

We’re glad he’s ok and here’s hoping he has a quick recovery. AraabMUZIK played Williamsburg club Output just a couple weeks ago. He was to have played Saturday (5/4) at Bard College’s Spring Fling but his appearance has been canceled. All remaining dates are listed below.
