Ghost

Costumed occult-rockers Ghost headlined a sold-out Webster Hall on Saturday (5/11), joined by their touring partners Ides of Gemini (members of Black Math Horseman). Pictures from their set are in this post, with another set of pictures over at InvisibleOranges.

The Webster Hall show was the only NYC show on their itinerary, which started Coachella and end next week in Pittsburgh, PA. Updated dates are listed below.

Great show, but holy FUCK was it oversold.

I'm not sure it was it oversold, but there were a shit-ton of obese motherfuckers in the crowd.
They should make the fat pay for two tickets!

You're going to occupy more than your fair share of space, you gotta pay.

Other than that, solid show all around.

GHOST IS NOT A METAL BAND!! They are more EMO than anything..

Posted by Anonymous | May 14, 2013 10:39 AM

Ghost is pretty much in a category all their own. Satanic Pop, is it?

Posted by Anonymous | May 14, 2013 11:21 AM

10:39:Emo is pushing it. Their new material is not very metal, though.

Posted by Anonymous | May 14, 2013 11:37 AM

hey 11:37 they're emo dude..

Psyched for Franz Ferdinand?

Is it just me or do these guys sound like a horrible version of Blue Oyster Cult?

Ides of Gemini are super talented. Reminds me of Worm Ourouborous (sp?). Guess they come from the same family of bands, I don't know. And for national tours, I'm guessing they won't do another unless its with a huge act like Worm Ourobouros.

Plus they didn't need to hook up with the new classic rawk/Slipknot. Ghost was cool last year, but now there's so many bands copying the 70's occult/Sabbath revival not using costumes but with female singers. They all need to hook up at the next Austin Powers convention.

I think the whole "satanist" thing is just a theme. I'm pretty sure after the shows they're not sacrificing goats or anything like that. It's just meant to be entertainment like horror films.
