James Blake @ T5, 5/8/2013
Last night’s sold-out, all-ages show at Terminal 5 featured a musician who knows exactly what he’s doing, but a crowd that didn’t really know how to respond. The average music fan might only be familiar with Blake’s self-titled debut record, and his most recent Overgrown. Both albums aren’t necessarily what you’d put on at a dance party, but are rather made for those moments when you find yourself awake in the middle of the night, sitting on your couch, unable to sleep, staring at a lit candle or playing video games. – [Village Voice]
After appearing on Letterman the night before, James Blake‘s tour with Falty DL hit Terminal 5 lat night (5/7), the first of two stops at the Westside venue for the pair. They’ll hit T5 again on Thursday (5/ 9), While that show is sold-out, you can still get tickets to see both of them DJing at the Museum of Natural History on Friday (5/10).
