Superchunk @ CBGB's Fest 2012 (more by Chris La Putt)
Superchunk

With 2010's terrific comeback album, Magesty Shredding still ringning in some of our ears, Superchunk have just announced its follow-up. I Hate Music is their 10th full-length and will be out August 20. You can watch a trailer below for the record featuring snippets from a couple tracks off the LP.

Superchunk will also be on tour following the album's release, including two nights at NYC's Bowery Ballroom on September 27 & 28 with Spider Bags opening. Tickets for those shows go on AmEx presale on Wednesday (5/15) at noon with the general on-sale happening Friday (5/17). All tour dates are listed, along with that trailer and album art & tracklist, below...

No free Summer show? I thought it's a given that Superchunk has at least 1 free show every summer

I think they had two in the last 5 years and that CBGB fest thing no one really knew about. The Bowery & Music Hall shows in 2010 were killer !

They have the last few years, but it was never a given. They played McCarren Park in 2007, the South Street Seaport in 2009, an acoustic in-store @ Other in Sept 2010, House of Vans in 2011 and the CBGB mess last summer.
