Rihanna

A Harlem woman claims in a lawsuit that she got herpes at a Rihanna concert in Brooklyn from lipstick the singer endorsed.

Starkeema Greenidge, 28, alleges she contracted the virus when a representative of MAC Cosmetics applied a used tube of RiRi Woo to her smackers.

"I wasn't able to work for two weeks. It cost me a lot of money," Greenidge, a waitress, told the Daily News on Wednesday.

She said she slapped MAC with the suit in Manhattan Supreme Court in hopes of forcing the company to be more sanitary in the future. Greenidge also said the company should train its employees to use disposable tubes or swabs to apply the lipstick. [Daily News]

The alleged incident went down May 7 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn (the 2nd of two shows Rihanna played there and the one that was rescheduled).

^ Seriously, I would love to take off work for two weeks when I get one on my lip (happens at least 2-3 times a year).

Luckily, men can just grow a beard.

426 gross. that being said, i'm surprised i don't have it.

This headline is beyond misleading; it's completely false. The woman did not claim that Rihanna gave her herpes at Barclays Center.

C'mon, BV.

Can you catch Herpes from sharing a pita triangle?!

what a joke. considering ~60-80% of Americans have hsv1 or hsv2 and she has no way of proving that she didn't have either beforehand... and most likely did, this is the redefinition of frivolous.

@455 this chick is full of shit dude, she obviously just saw the opportunity and went with it. if it actually happened, you'd have half the stadium suing in class action.

I've seen people have tester lipstick and use it on their lips in malls and stores and I just stare at it and think "I might get sick" (cold, flu, strep, bronchitis, etc.). I can never bring myself to using tester lipstick. Even on my arm to see the shade. I know the colors that look good on me, so I don't have much problem. Im not OCD and always wash my hands after touching something such as a milk jug, or when putting away the dishes. My brother does. I do however am paranoid about public hygiene. Using that lipstick that the public has used is nasty. Might as well lick a lamp post.
