Firefly begins in Dover ------ BrooklynVegan stage schedule

Firefly

Firefly Fest 2013 starts today, Friday (6/21) in Dover, Delaware and runs through Sunday. As mentioned in our Firefly Guide, it’s less than a three hour drive from NYC and even closer to Philadelphia, so if you’re looking for last minute music festival plans… single day tickets are still available. Japandroids, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kendrick Lamar, Tom Petty, Earl Sweatshirt (update: Earl & Lumineers have cancelled. Schoolboy Q & Ben Harper play instead), Yeah Yeah Yeahs, MGMT, Passion Pit and many more are part of the three-day lineup.

We’ll be down there, not only watching bands and taking pictures, but also hosting two hours of live BrooklynVegan Blog Radio each day on the stage in the Soundwave tent (next to St. Jude and close to the Porch Stage). Dave Hill and Billy Jones will host the daily live show from 1-3pm each day with a mix of live band performances, interviews, audience q&A, DJing and some jokes. Various artists that are playing the festival will come by to talk to and play for us. Stop by to rest, listen, dance, say hi, and to see the following:
