Rush @ Jones Beach, 6/23/2013
Rush

Rock and Roll Hall of Famers and quite possibly the greatest still-running power trio in hard rock, Rush headlined Jones Beach Ampitheater last night (7/23), playing a two-set extravaganza that spanned their career. The band's new LP Clockwork Angels is the focus of this tour (much like the last), with the band backed by an orchestra during a second set. Setlist and pictures from the show, featuring spinning drumsets, instrumental insanity and... terrible steam-punk inspired stage adornments, are below next to the setlist.

Love Rush, but not a great setlist this tour.

Salesmen!

It must really suck to be an accomplished, talented violin player and then be stuck behind some crappy stage prop on a Rush tour for 50 nights.

"It must really suck to be..." They got paid. It looks great on the resume. Who cares?

Posted by Anonymous | June 24, 2013 10:51 AM

oh look, another jones beach advertisement.

Posted by Anonymous | June 24, 2013 10:52 AM

the props are ridiculously unnecessary

Posted by anonymous | June 24, 2013 11:59 AM

Geddy can't sing anymore

Time to hang it up. Weak show.

They ain't no Big Time Rush!

Woah! Jimbone's mighty Rush mentioned on BV? Surely the worm has turned! Sad to see all of the above troggs pulling out the usual overused jokes. Tired, people, really tired!

Posted by Jimbone | June 24, 2013 1:00 PM

They didn't play Roll the Bones?!? It's their only good song.

slappin' da bass !

Rush was incredible last night. Great setlist focusing on their 80's era. They played like they were a band half their age. Geddy's vocals were outstanding!! And he most defintely freakin' slapped da bass, mon. The band that redefined 'power trio' IS the best power trio!!
(F off, all you bitter BV trolls)

Rush is great. Seen them about ten times. Incredible live performers.

I saw a band the other day that said they wrote this song for Rush and it was pretty awesome so I looked it up when I got home and here it is:

the flying bear-sharks - the watchmaker

I think its meant to be comical´╗┐ but I really have no idea

Other worldly sounds! I am loving this! This is what the Alien spacemen listen to! :)´╗┐
