I missed Tame Impala the first time, and while I personally thought the Googamooga set was great, I need to see it in a dark setting. I am excited.

Flaming Lips at Googa Mooga were pretty terrible. Here's to hoping Tame Impala squeezes in a headlining show at an actual venue.

I really like Tame Impala's albums but they manage to come off as boring and uninspired in a live setting. They just lack the certain "oomph" needed to take things to an exciting next level. Hoepfully they will spice things up the bigger they get and actually fill the venue with sound.

Flaming Lips' cover of Heroes is good.

FL are so bad live now. Why does Wayne have to talk for 5 mins before every song and explain it

Posted by Anonymous | June 25, 2013 12:00 PM

bc he assumes many people are there bc they saw him in that phone commercial

Why on earth are Tame Impala, at the height of their popularity, opening shows (for way-past-prime FL) in a venue they have previously headlined themselves?

1:21, I was wondering the same thing myself.

they are fans and it's an honor

t5 no good...

As someone who foolishly predicted the FL would blow the YYY's off the stage at Googa Mooga, I now have to predict that Tame Impala will blow the Lips off the stage this time.

i think the lips will have figured out their new show by then. and tame impala fuckin rule live. no brainer show.

the flaming lips are touring behind their latest release, The Terror, and their new stage show, if you haven't seen them recently, it's not the old confetti shows of the past... your in for a treat...

I disagree. That show sucked. I have never been as disappointed with a set as I was tonight. And fuck Tame Impala. Wow. Words fail me.

I used to really love this tune in that car commercial. I made me all cheery and shit until I heard that "everyone you know someday will die line" haha´╗┐

This is an awesome cover, and actually seeing them do it live was truly amazing. But good lord, the mix on this recording is awful.
