this band is playing Warped Tour this year...
Warped Tour

Warped Tour, which used to be a punk festival but has since gone almost exclusively tween powerpop and mallcore, are continuing to make strides towards catering to their current audience. If mom and dad aren't gonna let you go see Black Veil Brides all by yourself, they're gonna have to come along, and the people at Warped Tour believe they deserve some accommodation. Last year they introduced the Reverse Daycare tent (where parents hang out while their kids watch bands), and now this year they've one-upped themselves, allowing any parent bringing a child under 18 to enter the festival for free (via PunkNews).

Warped Tour this year includes Defeater (who you're better off seeing at This is Hardcore), Kevin Seconds (who's only playing 3 California dates), and about a total of 1.5 other bands potentially worth seeing in their 100+ band lineup. It comes to the NYC-area on 7/7 at PNC Bank Arts Center, 7/12 at Susquehanna Bank Center, 7/13 at Nassau Coliseum, and 7/14 at Comcast Theatre (tickets).

Not that I would want to be a poor parent that would have to go to this, but it is a great idea.

So basically if you have kids that want to go to this, you don't have to worry about your kid. Cause he/she is a dork.

I guess it's better than your kid being into Skrillex

good chance for single dads to troll some barely legal poon, and vice versa with cougars too, 'ohhh you don't listen to that garbage on the radio, you must be mature for your age...'

332, goldfinger is playing this year also, i went to warped tour a few times in early 2000's and it seemed to be the same few bands rotating the headlining spots (nofx, bad religion, pennywise, if not nofx then me first & gimme...) still a fun day though

Hopped the fence at Randall's Island to check out the Rollins Band probably back in 2001. Would not hop the fence for this line-up.

teenage indy rockers are taught to look up to people like Kim Gordon. this will enforce the weakening of America, by diverting young people from productive adulthood, so that those who have already failed can prey upon them

The show will go on in rain or shine but if there is lightening (or other dangerous conditions) they might postpone it until the weather passes. I was in St Pete yesterday and it rained a little but everything stayed on schedule!

i'm confused. is this how being a roadie is marketed? or is this just a warped thing?
